FUNDED GLOBAL R&D CONSORTIUM

RLS were asked by a leading Medical Imaging Software developer (who provide specialist solutions to GE, Canon and Boston Scientific) to secure funding for the implementation of an integrated radiotherapy treatment system.

We built a consortium including the leading cancer treatment centres in the Netherlands and Portugal alongside a French technology partner, developed a full R&D project strategy in collaboration with these collaborators and the client's scientific leadership and secured funding of over £1m to deliver this programme of work from highly-competitive EU and UK public-sector funding matched by venture capital and private equity investors.

TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH CLINICAL TRIAL APPROVAL

RLS were approached by a clinical academic team representing three leading UK research universities and asked to support the translation of research into a new machine-learning based invasive diagnostic from a laboratory setting into first-in-human clinical trials.

We combined a practical approach to compiling the necessary technical and safety data needed for ethics approval with a forward-looking coaching approach to empower the project team to progress the project to market via robust yet pragmatic design control and risk management tools. Clinical trial approval was obtained ahead of schedule from the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products regulatory Agency (MHRA).
